Musingu Boys High School Dormitory on Fire 2 Days After Reopening
On Wednesday 14 October 2020, Musingu Boys High School in Ikolomani, Kakamega County, was on the spot after fire consumed a dormitory.
The dormitory by the name Oparanya Hostel, went into flames at around noon.
Sources at the school said that the fire begun at around 11 a.m while the students were in class undertaking lessons.

Oparanya hostel accomodates over 500 students.
Eye witnesses reported that the fire fighters arrived an hour later, after the fire had razed down the dormitory.

The Police officers who arrived at the scene said exact cause of the fire at Musingu Boys high school had not yet been established. They however said investigation into the incident has been launched.
The Wednesday fire incident at Musingu boys is the 3rd in under 3 years.
