Principals Choose Mombasa and Kisumu as Their Preferred Conference Venues
Principals have chosen Mombasa City as their most preferred venue to hold their upcoming Kenya Secondary Schools Head Association (KESSHA) conference which is set to be held between 18th and 27th November 2022.
The school heads chose the venue by voting.
Eleven principals voted for Mombasa as their preferred venue for the conferences which will bring school heads together to share ideas and refresh both physically and mentally.
Mombasa has been the preferred destination for a long time due to its nice climate, cheap accommodation, private and public beaches, rich history and wide range of leisure activities.
Other attractions in the city are the Mombasa Marine Park, Mamba Village, Bombolulu Cultural Centre and Fort Jesus.
According to a 2022 Economic Survey, Mombasa had the highest life expectancy out of the four cities in the country.
Kisumu City came second in the voting with 6 votes.
Kisumu City is located along Lake Victoria with the Lake’s cool breeze, beaches such as Dunga Beach and Wetlands popular for their exclusive rich culture and biodiversity, the Kisumu Museum, the Impala Sanctuary, Boat trips and Kayaking in the Lake among other activities.
Nakuru came up third because it is near Nairobi City and has affordable food and accommodation.
The City’s Lake Nakuru is the main attraction and is an acknowledged UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its famous flamingo habitat.
Popular historic sites such as the Menengai Crater, Lord Egerton Castle, Soysambu Conservancy and the Hyrax Hill Site.
Naivasha was fourth with Eldoret and Narok following up closely.
