TSC Pulls Out Support, Personale and Sponsorship for KEPSHA after Sossion’s Speech

Following the Speech delivered by embattled KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has pulled out of the KEPSHA delegates 2019 Conference.

The Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association (KEPSHA) delegates conference is currently ongoing in Mombasa.

Yesterday, Tuesday 2nd December 2019, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary-General addressed the school heads, a move that did not go well with TSC.

How TSC Boycotted the 2019 KEPSHA Delegates Conference

In a move that shown boycott in the ongoing KEPSHA conference in Mombasa, TSC pulled out its personnel.

It is believed that the commissioners are angered by organizers for allowing Sossion to address the headteachers.

Furthermore, the shouting by some of the heads in support of Sossion displeased the commissioners much more.

As if not enough, the school heads passed resolutions in support of KNUT and Sossion.
It was in clear black and white to all that TSC was absent when the Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha addressed the KEPSHA delegates Conference.

The TSC chair Lydia Nzomo who arrived in Mombasa last night and was scheduled to address heads this morning boycotted the opening ceremony.

TSC Issues Tough Instructions

Last evening after the address of KNUT Secretary-General Hon Sossion, at the Kepsha conference in Mombasa, tough instructions from TSC Nairobi led to the following.

1. TSC Tent at the conference being pulled down at the KEPSHA conference in Mombasa.

2. All TSC staff at the conference who were coordinating various activities, including the judges of the Teacher of the year, Principal of the year, were recalled back to Nairobi.

3. TOYA AND POYA awards suspended after the adjudication team which is done by TSC staff suspended.

4. All top speakers who were meant to address the teachers’ heads from TSC have pulled out. They include, TSC CEO, Nancy Macharia, TSC chair Lydia Nzomo and Directors Dr. Ntzamburi and Maundu.
