The second cohort began in September this year.
According to a circular dated the 6th of October 2022 issued to principals of TTCs, only eight TTCs are set to be used in training the teachers this year due to the low enrollment numbers.
The low number of P1 teachers who applied for the upgrading programme forced the Ministry of Education’s Principal Secretary to order for placement of students to be merged into eight colleges.
The students were the distributed to the following colleges:
- Murang’a TTC for Meru, Egoji and Kigari TTCs.
