Teacher Defiles, Impregnates and Procures Abortion for Class 8 Pupil

A primary school teacher has been arrested by the police for allegations of defiling, impregnating, and procuring a failed abortion for a 14-year old minor in Kisumu County.

The suspect is a teacher at Wanganga Primary School in Awasi.

According to the StandardMedia, the pupil is pregnant and is currently admitted at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital after a failed attempt to abort.

It is reported that the teacher secretly organized to procure an abortion in liaison with the minor’s aunt. However, the abortion went leeway and led to over bleeding.

The girl was found by a good Samaritan when she was still bleeding heavily before being rushed to the Referral hospital to save her life.

The Police through Leonard Matete, Nyando police boss, confirmed that the teacher lured the gullible minor into a lodge before defiling her.

The suspect teacher is currently in police custody, as the pupil’s aunt, however, is at-large having escaped police arrest.

Police said that the standard 8 pupil was defiled by the suspect over two months ago in one of the joints at Awasi Township.

However, it was until a day before the arrest, that the police were hinted of the teacher’s atrocities; from defilement to the procurement of an abortion.

Mr. Matete was quoted by StandardMedia saying that, “we have all the evidence that puts the suspected teacher at the center of the crime.”

He further informed the public that on Monday, the teacher will be presented before the court of law.

The police have raised an alarm over entertainment joints in Awasi that permit minor school girls to drink with adults.

They have singled out, for investigations, the joint that accommodated the Wanganga school teacher to defile the pupil.
