Form One Girl Admits to Killing Her 3 Siblings and Her Cousin
A 15-year-old girl has shocked Kenyans by admitting to going on a killing spree, murdering her three cousins and her 20-month-old cousin.
When questioned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Form One student admitted that she murdered her siblings aged 15, 7 and 5 years respectively in a confession.
She is currently being held at Kikuyu Police Station.
According to a report from the DCI, the Form One student committed the crimes between February and July 2021.
“Detectives based in Kiambu county revealed that they are investigating the shocking incident where a Form One student murdered her three siblings and a cousin in the past year,” the DCI report.
According to the DCI, the girl’s devastated father had gone to Kiambu Police Station on Saturday the 28th of August to report her teenage daughter’s heinous acts.
Upon questioning, the girl admitted to murdering her 20-month-old cousin in Gathiga village, Kabete sub-county.
She revealed that she drowned her cousin in a well in their compound in July this year.
“She also confessed that she had murdered her cousin who was 20 months old, at Gathiga village, Kabete sub-county, by drowning him in a well in their compound sometime last month,” revealed the DCI.
According to detectives, the girl is currently in their custody at the Kikuyu Police Station where she is awaiting arraignment in court.
In April this year, the police arrested a 23-year-old man who was suspected of killing his mother and seven-year-old brother in Kamulu located in the Ruai area.
The suspect allegedly killed the two with a knife before hitting them with a stone. He also injured a neighbour who had attempted to help the victims.
“When I came, I found he had killed his mother, Peninah Njoki Kabiru and brother, Ian Kabiru. On inquiry, he did not deny and told me he did not know why he did the heinous act,” said the concerned neighbour.
