DCI reveals arrest of Teacher over murder
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed via the Facebook account that a teacher who works at Amilo Primary school has been arrested for murdering a 28-year-old adult male.
The late Mr Dvid Omondi Otieno is said to have died after sustaining injuries after the teacher attacked him.
The teacher was identified as Mr Wycliff Ochieng Omollo. Wycliff is 37 years old.
According to DCI officials from the Muhoroni area, the suspect is alleged to have confronted the deceased and attacked him without mercy in the incident which happened at around 7 pm.
John Ochieng Okal who is a cousin to the late Mr David Omondi Otieno revealed that his cousin was going home when he was the teacher confronted him and attacked him with blows on his head before he then landed with his head on a stone.
The victim was then rushed to Masogo sub-county hospital where he was then referred to Jaramogi Oginga referral hospital. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to injuries sustained from the impact at around 11 pm while he was being attended.
