Mathematics Teachers Invited for Third National Mathematics Workshop
Mathematics teachers across the country have been invited to the third national mathematics workshop. The workshop shall be held in Kisumu County.
The national Mathematics workshop shall be held with permission from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), on Saturday, the 11th of September 2021 at the University of Nairobi (Kisumu Campus).
Among the issues the workshop will tackle are how to eliminate low grades in Mathematics and the integration of Information and communication technology (ICT).
Besides, the workshop will be addressing the review of the 2020 KCSE and KCSE 2021 projection as well as the setting and testing of Mathematics at the KNEC level.
Teachers who shall participate in the workshop shall be required to pay a fee of Sh. 2,500. The amount will then be utilized in covering the expenses incurred during the workshop. Among these expenses are writing materials, certificate of participation and meals.
It is important to note that the Ministry of Health’s guidelines on COVID-19 will be strictly adhered to to curb the spread of the global coronavirus pandemic. Teachers will be required to:
- Wear a mask
- Sanitize thoroughly
- Maintain a 1-meter social distance
- Wash hands regularly with soap
