Fire Razes Kapsogut Boys High School Dorm, Hours After Cheborge Boys High

On Tuesday night,  the 19th  of January 2020, Kapsogut Boys High School, in Bureti, Kericho County, recorded a school fire incident.

The Kapsogut Boys fire incident comes in under 24 hours after a dormitory was razed down in the neighboring Cheborge Boys High School.

According to a witness, the Kapsogut fire is believed to have started in one of the dormitories at around 9.00 p.m. before being put off by the help of teachers, support staff, and students.

Our inside sources allege that the fire could have emanated from yesterday’s students’ unrest.

All students are safe, as no casualties were reported.

As of 6.00 a.m today, the school security guards were under strict instruction not to allow any outsider or foreign object in the school.

On Sunday morning, Karia Secondary School students in Kirinyaga County were left stranded after a fire burnt their dormitory.

This week alone, teacher.co.ke has recorded at least 4 school fire incidences.
