CS Magoha Once Again Insists No Postponing KCSE and KCPE Exams

The Cabinet Secretary of Education prof George Magoha has insisted that the government will not postpone the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations to compensate the Lost time during the Covid-19 national pandemic.

Prof Magoha was addressing the nation at Afya House in Nairobi on the 19th of April 2020.

During the press briefing, the professor instructed learners to capitalize on the existing online content.

The cabinet secretary further insisted that as far as the Ministry of Education was concerned they had not reached a point of postponing kcse and kcpe National examinations.

The CS further added that they were acting under the president’s orders.

“There is a committee of six cabinet secretaries that will look into the post-corona period in an in-depth manner from next week,” said the education cabinet secretary.

In his response concerning issues of mobile network coverage in the country, the cabinet secretary said that the coverage was extensive enough not to hinder online learning.

All the government leaders have been on the forefront to encourage Kenyans to remain at home and minimize movement to curb the spread of coronavirus.

In addition to staying at home, Kenyans are being encouraged to wash their hands with clean water and soap as frequently as possible. And also to put on a mask whenever they are in public places.
