Kisii University Suspends Second Year Students Indefinitely Following Protests
Second-year students at Kisii University have been indefinitely suspended from the institution after protests over a hike in fees yesterday.
The media failed to reach the Vice-Chancellor via phone but not the expected decision has been made with the First, Third and Fourth-year students exempted from the suspension.
In a memorandum posted on their Twitter account, the institution has now made the decision official and all second-year students have been directed to take note of what they dubbed as a “Communique” following the senate’s decision.
Below is the “Communique” from Kisii University to Second Year Students.
