Magoha sits on Jerrycan as he pushes Form One admission

The Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof George Magoha visited Nakuru and conducted a random inspection in a bid to boost the one hundred per cent transition mandate from primary to secondary school.

CS Magoha then surprised many as he visited a random home where the family did not have any seats but the CS decided to sit on a jerrycan as a makeshift seat.

“Kumbe naweza kaa namna hii (I realize I can sit this way)?” said CS Maagoha as he pulled a jerrycan to sit on.

The young student, David, told CS Magoha that he had been selected to Migori Boys High School but could not report to school due to a lack of school fees.

On her part, his mother revealed that her husband had disappeared when the boy was still in pre-primary school and that she had been doing manual labour to cater for their needs.

Magoha ordered that the boy be admitted to Nakuru High School immediately since it is a public school and is meant for all Kenyan students.

Magoha did not stop there as he visited another Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidate who had suffered a stroke.

The pupil, Abdullahi Nuur had been admitted to Woodstreet Hospital Eastleigh in Nairobi where he was receiving medical attention.
