KUCCPS Portal Open for Second Revision
The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) opened its portal yesterday for the second revision of school choices.
Candidates who were not placed at any university in the programmes they selected have been urged to do a second revision of their choices between the 7th and the 11th of June this year.
The first revision was closed on the 2nd of June 2022.
The placement body accepts applications from all students depending on their grades. Students are normally encouraged to make applications for courses of their choice under government sponsorship..
Candidates have to attain at least a mean grade of C+ (Plus) and above to be eligible but did not apply for any degree course as well as candidates who failed to secure a degree course due to competition in the recent first revision period.
Candidates from the year who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) from 2000 to 2021 and scored grade C (Plain) have not applied for TVET courses.
To make an application, a candidate is first required to find their KCSE Index Number in the published list on the placement body’s website. If you find it, log in to the portal and select other courses that you prefer.
Service charges for placement are Kshs. 1,500 for those who did not do revision and Kshs. 1,000 for those who made applications while still in school.
Candidates who were not placed at any university have complained since they had made payment for the same. The second revision is set to have reduced availability of courses with other students having been placed in various programmes of their choice in various universities.
