KPC Announces Form One Scholarships for Children with Disabilities
The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Limited through its programme of empowering children with disabilities has announced schorlaship programmes for 2022 KCPE pupils.
The KPC foundation together with the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD) will select two pupils, a boy and a girl from the 47 counties. Applicants are required to have scored 250 marks and above.
Applicants should also be Kenyan citizens, be registered with NCPWD as a person with disability and be a needy student or come from a disadvantaged background.
Interested individuals have been urged to download application forms from KPC and NCPWD websites and submit them on or before January 27th, 2023 to their respective County Disability Services Office or NCPWD offices in Nairobi.
The KPC scholarship covers uniforms, tuition, and shopping for successful students from Form One to Four.
In last year’s KCPE results, the first candidate with special needs scored 419 marks more than the top candidate in 2021 who had 417 marks. 2,417 candidates with special needs sat for the 2022 KCPE examinations.
7 candidates scored between 400 – 500 marks, with 296 candidates scoring between 300 to 399 marks. Those who scored between 200 and 299 marks were 838. The majority (1,270) scored between 100 and 199 marks. Only 6 candidates scored between 001 and 099 marks.
