KNEC Reveals Deadline for CP2 Registration amid Complaints with the System
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has warned teachers who have not created and updated their details on the CP2 website.
KNEC has revealed that they will close the registration by today with teachers who will not have created and updated their details set to miss out on their payments. The Examiner pays teachers after the marked examinations have been released.
There are teachers who are complaining that they are not able to access their CP2 accounts due to issues with their passwords that have made them unable to log in.
However, the Examiner has responded by saying that those with problems with accessing or creating their CP2 accounts to visit their Sub-County Directors for assistance on the same.
KNEC is set to use teachers to administer this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and the DECTE examinations.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has already vetted and shall deploy more than 250,000 teachers as either centre managers, invigilators or examiners.
The KPSEA examinations are set to have 1,268,830 learners sitting for the assessment with KCSE and KCPE having 880,000 and 1,230,000 learners respectively.
