Kenyans React as Form One Student Reports to School In a Chopper
Form One admission at Maranda High School was dealt a grand scene when a Form 1 student reported to school in a helicopter.
The institution was admitting learners from various parts of the country when the learner made an admirable appearance alighting from a chopper at Maranda High School.
Maranda High school is located in Siaya County.
The chopper circled the school compound before landing and the student alighted in the company of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Sources on the ground claimed the student -who ails from a humble background, is being sponsored by Raila Odinga.
Across various platforms, netizens expressed their views on the matter with many Kenyans saying the scene was an exaggeration of the situation arguing that while other learners reported to school with a chicken as part of school fee, the sponsor went a surprisingly long way in expressing his financial muscle.
Others were considerate, applauding the parent for granting his son a grand entrance to his dream school.
This follows another incident where photos surfaced online of parents and new learners reporting to Kapsabet Boys High School in Nandi County entered the school compound in prestigious automobiles.
The was a scene of almost 200 vehicles in the school compound provoking many Kenyans to wonder whether the school deliberately selected students who had rich parents since almost all of them reported to school in cars.
