The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is mandated to conduct the placement of KCSE candidates to universities and colleges. The placement body has announced the second revision for diploma and degree course choices.
KUCCPS has revealed that 94,285 candidates have gotten their places in various courses after the completion of the first revision/application. The lucky students will not be required to revise their courses during the window for the second revision.
For the other 32,718 students who were unlucky not to get placement will now be required to apply for consideration for placement if at all they are interested in the slots in respective colleges and universities.
The placement body revealed that the second revision will begin on the 22nd of June 2021 for the students who did not succeed to get places in the respective universities or colleges or for those who did mow did not apply in the first application to compete for the remaining slots that are still available.
The procedure of checking placement results
If you wish to find out the results of placement, use the following procedure.
- Visit: http://students.kuccps.net/
- Login with your details as follows
- Use your full index number as the username.
- Enter 2020 as the year.
- For the password, use your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE index number
How can you know if you have gotten a chance in your course of choice?
After the first revision, KUCCPS shall upload a list containing students who whould not have been placed. A chance to do the second revision will then be available.
Before going through the long list of students who have not been placed, one can then log into the student’s portal via link: https://students.kuccps.net
On the dashboard the following message will be shown
“You have provisionally secured one of your choices subject to approval by the Placement Service Board.”
If the message above is not displayed, then you have to revise you course choices.
