TSC Reveals List of Teachers Deregistered from the Teachers’ Register in June
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has revealed the names of teachers who have been deregistered or removed from the Kenya Teachers Register in 2022.
“Pursuant to Section 30 of the TSC Act (2012), the Commission wishes to publish the names of teachers who have been removed from the register of teachers. Further, under the law these teachers cannot engage in teaching in any learning institution,” read part of the TSC notice.
TSC further advised the public that the above persons have ceased to be teachers, and are not allowed to teach or help Iinteaching in any school. The above-listed teachers can only be allowed to teach if they are reinstated back to the teachers’ register by the commission.
Why are teachers Deregistered?
Immoral behaviour committed by the now deregistered teachers includes and is not limited to engaging in sexual intercourse, sodomy, lesbianism and sexual harassment. Infamous conduct includes drunkenness, fighting, conduct or behaviour that contradicts the Constitution, forgery/presentation of forged documents, mismanagement, misappropriation of funds, etc.
Teachers should be wary of going against the rules and regulations set by their employer. The sacked teachers should serve as an example that the Commission is intolerant of unprofessionalism.
