Ministry of Education Releases Term 2 Calendar for Co-Curricular Activities for Primary & Secondary Schools
The Ministry of Education through the State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education has released the calendar for co-curricular activities for Basic Education Institutions via circular Ref no MOE.HQS/3/4/15/VOL III

RE: TERM TWO (2) 2022 CALENDAR OF CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES FOR BASIC EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Co-Curricular Activities are a critical component of the teaching and learning process in all education systems.
It is through these programmed activities that the learner talents are identified, nurtured and developed.
The Ministry of Education in consultation with key stakeholders has now decided that co-curricular activities resume fully in all basic learning institutions.
In term two 2022, primary and secondary school sports will be activated as well as music.
The Kenya Science and Engineering Fair and Drama competitions will be in term one year 2023.
Schools are therefore advised to start training of their teams in preparations for the National championship and other regional and international championships.
The activities will be held mostly during weekends, mid-terms and school holiday.

The purpose of this circular is there to request to bring to the attention of all schools and Teacher Training Colleges on these scheduled activities to enable them prepare adequately.
