As you are aware, the Government of Kenya has put in a lot of emphasis and resources towards the support of STEM courses in all TVET institutions.
In view of this, it is of paramount importance to ensure that the country derives value for money for the huge resources invested in the TVET institutions for support of STEM courses.
In view of the foregoing, you are required to develop a roadmap towards the phasing out of Business courses in your respective institutions within three years from the date of this circular. In addition, you are required to develop strategies to increase enrolment in the STEM courses and ensure that there is no drop in the overall enrolment in your institutions.
The purpose of this letter is to request you to make a report on the subject matter an implementation matrix clearly showing the phasing out of the Business Courses and the activities to increase the enrolment in Science Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skill areas. This Report should be delivered to this office by Friday 6th, 2023.
Please accord this exercise the seriousness and urgency it deserves.
