KICD Invites Applications for Editing 18 Grade 4 Course Books of Indigenous Languages
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from consultants for the final editing of the Grade 4 Indigenous Languages Course Books in 18 indigenous languages.
The invitations are for the following languages:
- Dholuo
- Kalenjin
- Lulogooli
- Ng’aturkana
- Kitharaka
- Borana
- Kigiriama
- Kikamba
- Suba
- Kituweta
- Somali
- Ekegusii
- Gikuyu
- Kipokomo
- Chiduruma
- Chidigo
- Maa
- Lubukusu
For interested applicants, they are required to show proof of capacity for the development of materials in indigenous languages, translation, and/or orthography of the indigenous languages.
According to KICD, individuals intending to submit bids are required to provide their particulars to the KICD Procurement office at procurement@kicd.ac.ke. The sole reason for this is for receiving any clarification on the provision of service.
The documents provided should be placed in a plain sealed envelope with the tender number and reference number written on it. The envelope is then to be deposited in the Tender Bar that is located at the Reception of the KICD NACECE Resource Center, Ground floor addressed to the following address.

The documents are required to reach the KICD on or before 13 July 2021, 10:00 am. Tenders will be opened immediately or after that in the presence of the Candidates or representatives attached to them to attend the opening of the tenders at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, NACECE Resource Centre Youth, Women and Persons with disabilities have been encouraged to submit their applications.
It is important to note that late bids will not be accepted.
