Results for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations are expected to be released today since the Head of State is back in the country following a trip abroad.
The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education Ezekiel Machogu is expected to announce the results at Mitihani House in Nairobi City.
The results belong to the 1,244,188 KCPE candidates who sat for the examinations in November 2022.
The final KCPE examination is set to be held next year in November when the outgoing 8-4-4 curriculum will be phased out from primary school.
How to Get the KCPE Results via SMS
After the results are released formally, you will simply send a text message using the SMS number (20076) provided by the CS for Education. The cost of the SMS is normally Kshs. 25 and it works across all platforms be it with Safaricom, Airtel or Telkom lines.
- Just open a blank message on any SIM card you are using and wish to use to get your results.
- Type your 11-digit KCPE Index number followed by the Word KCPE. For example, type 12345678001KCPE if your index number is 12345678001. Do not leave any spaces in the index number and the word KCPE.
- After this, send the message to the number 20076.
You will then receive a message from KNEC having your results after a short while. The SMS will cost you Kshs. 25.
How to Download KCPE 2022 Result Slips from the KNEC Portal
- Visit the KNEC Website using the link: https://www/knec-portal.ac.ke/
- Click on the KCPE Results tab.
- Select the year.
- Enter your index number
- Click on the submit button. And the KCPE results will appear on the screen after the page loads.
