Secondary schools between the 24th of June 2021 and the 30th of July to request admissions on the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS). Regarding the admissions, all secondary schools now have between today the 2nd of August and the 13th of August 2021 to admit Form Ones to their schools and update the required data on the NEMIS system within that duration.
As Form Ones were reporting they were required to come with shopping comprising of personal items for sanitation, education materials like Geometrical Sets and rulers besides buying school uniforms at the schools they reported to.
Besides the above items, the learners were required to provide the necessary documents required for processing the details on NEMIS. Among the documents they were required to provide are the following.
- KCPE Results Slip
- Birth Certificate
- A copy of parents’ or guardian’s National Identification Card
- Details of their physical address.
The Form One admissions are set to be conducted for a duration of almost two weeks with students expected to flood the schools as they queue for admissions.
For students who still want to request admissions in the schools of their dreams, they can be in contact with those schools so as to know whether the NEMIS system allows that to happen as Form Ones are getting admitted to schools.
According to reports, the NEMIS system was open today and allowed admission requests to schools Form Ones want to join and are not the ones they were called to, despite the deadline for the same having lapsed.
