KCSE Girl Candidate Stabbed to Death by Boyfriend in Kitui County
A KCSE female candidate in Kitui County was stabbed to death by her alleged boyfriend under unclear circumstances.
The incident occurred in Kavasya in Kitui and was reported on Monday night by the area Chief Mr. Maluki Mumo.
Mr. Mumo reported that the alleged perpetrator stabbed the girl student severally.
According to information from eyewitness, the 2020 KCSE girl candidate was visited at her home in Kavasya by the 27-year old man suspected to be the boyfriend.
Shortly after, a quarrel ensued between them before the man pulled out a knife, and stabbed the form four student several times.
The eyewitness added that, later, the perpetrator attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself with the same knife.
However, neighbors came to the man’s rescue and saved his life.
The man is currently receiving treatment at Kitui County Referral Hospital.
The body of the deceased KCSE candidate was taken to Kitui County Hospital mortuary.
Police have launched investigations into the matter.
