Breaking: Sadenning Scenes as Kebeneti Secondary School Students Mourn Their Principal

Students of Kebeneti Secondary School in Kericho West were seen mourning the death of their principal who died in a grisly road accident on Thursday evening.

The learners had been assembled and after they were given the sad news all of them seemed to lose their energy and began mourning their late principal in such a scene likely to remain in people’s memories for some time.

It seems the students loved their principal and the news got to their nerves as some of them could be seen sobbing uncontrollably while others became confused and began running around the field.

Mr Joel Mutai’s passing touched both teachers, parents and learners alike but some of the teachers could be seen trying to comfort the learners and even ordering some of those running to take things a little bit easier.

Even Belgut Constituency’s Member of Parliament Hon. Nelson Koech sent his condolences to the late Mutai’s family.

The late Mutai had been in the profession for a long time and had taught in various schools including Cheptenye and Musaria Secondary schools in Kericho County.

My deep condolences to the family and friends of Mr Joel Mutai, current principal of Kebeneti Secondary School following the demise occasioned by a tragic road accident. The late Mutai who hails from our Constituency was a dedicated academician; previously taught Cheptenye and Musaria Secondary Schools. May the Lord rest his soul in peace,” said Hon. Nelson Keoch.
