Breaking News: 2019 KCSE Results are Out

The 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education KCSE 2019 results have been discussed by the Kenya National Examinations Council KNEC Board and are waiting to be officially released by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha in a few minutes.

KNEC Board Approves KCSE Evaluation Process

Knec board has approved the KCSE evaluation process of 699,745 candidates who sat the examinations.

Reports also indicate that KNEC board has verified and authenticated the results.

The board has given the Education CS the results.

CS in State House to Brief the President on the KCSE 2019 Results

Our sources confirm that Prof Magoha has left the KNEC headquarters for the State House to brief President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The CS is back and has officially announced the results to the public.

All the invited guests have arrived at the KNEC headquarters to witness the official release of this year’s 2019 KCSE results.

Among the guests includes the Ministry of Education officials, Teachers Service Commission CEO, School heads and parents.

The 2019 KCSE is the fastest ever in terms of marking and releasing results in the history of Kenya’s education. Official results have been released 3 days earlier than the last year’s 2018 KCSE.

The 2018 KCSE results were released on the 21st of December 2018.

Why Hurry to Release the 2019 KCSE Results?

The teachers’ unions and some education policymakers have raised questions on the speed at which the examinations have been marked and released.

Kenya Union of Post Primary Teachers KUPPET earlier on warned Prof Magoha against releasing the 2019 KCSE results in a hurry.

The Union claims the high speed of marking will compromise on the quality and effectiveness.

The 2019 KCSE Candidates can check the results of their examination using a mobile phone or through the internet.

As candidate send ‘ your index number’ followed with ‘KCSE’ to 20076.

You will be charged Kshs.25 above the standard SMS rates for a message sent.

Alternatively, check the KCSE 2019 examinations results free of charge through the KNEC website.

Summary of 2019 KCSE Results

The 2019 KCSE results are expected to be better than the 2018 one. A number of Examiners have said their was an improvement in the performance of this years results.
