11.CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, (ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION/SCIENCE) KICD GRADE 6, ONE (1) POST

The Curriculum Development Officer, (Environmental Education/Science) will report to the Senior Deputy Director Curriculum Development:

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:

  1. Development of instruments for data collection and mapping out research areas;
  2. Undertaking data collection and analysis;
  3. Preparation of education needs assessment reports;
  4. Analysis of National Examinations;
  5. Conducting activities of subject and Course Panel;
  6. Development of relevant and quality curriculum and curriculum support materials;
  7. Development of teacher training materials and orientation of teachers in Environmental Education/Science and
  8. Development and review of documents for evaluation and vetting of curriculum support materials

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade an applicant must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education (Environmental
    Education/Science) or its equivalent from a recognized
    institution
  2. Relevant working experience of at least Five (5) years
  3. Demonstrated professional competence in curriculum development in Environmental Education/Science or related areas;
  4. Proficient in computer use and application;
  5. Initiative, be a team player and highly motivated;
  6. Fulfill the requirement of chapter six of the constitution.

12. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, (ADMINISTRATION) KICD GRADE 4 ONE (1) POST

The Assistant Director, (Administration) will report to the Deputy Director Administration:

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:

  1. Implementation of administrative policies and procedures in security, records management, transport and estate management;
  2. Coordination of disaster management, emergency response activities in the institute;
  3. Oversee implementation of quality management systems in the department;
  4. Manage, develop and appraise staff.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade an applicant must have:

  1. Served at least eight (8) years’ work experience three (3) of which should be Supervisory Role;
  2. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration; Business Administration; or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Business Administration; Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  4. Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  5. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  6. Member of a recognized professional body;
  7. Computer literacy;
  8. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  9. Fulfil the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

13. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, (PHYSICAL EDUCATION KICD GRADE 6, ONE (1) POST

The Curriculum Development Officer, Physical Education will report to the Senior Deputy Director Curriculum Development:

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:

  1. Development of instruments for data collection and mapping out research areas;
  2. Undertaking data collection and analysis;
  3. Preparation of education needs assessment reports; iv. Analysis of National Examinations;

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education Physical Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  2. Relevant working experience of at least Five (5) years
  3. Demonstrated professional competence in curriculum development in Physical Education or related areas;

14. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, (FASHION AND INTERIOR DESIGN KICD GRADE 6, ONE (1) POST

The Curriculum Development Officer, Fashion and Interior Design will report to the Senior Deputy Director Curriculum Development:

15. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, GRAPHIC DESIGN KICD GRADE 6, ONE (1) POST

18. PRINCIPAL CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, ECD (PRE-PRIMARY) KICD GRADE 4, ONE (1) POST

The Principal Curriculum Development officer, will report to the Senior Deputy Director Curriculum Development:

a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:

  1. coordinating the development, evaluation and review of curricula and curriculum support materials;
  2. initiating and participating in curriculum orientation activities;
  3. initiating and conducting basic, applied and action research to address knowledge gaps related to curriculum development;
  4. undertaking research in areas of curriculum that contribute to general body of knowledge;
  5. updating research Information Management System to facilitate monitoring of curriculum implementation;
  6. evaluating use of digital resources and ICT integration in curriculum delivery; and
  7. establishing networks, partnerships and collaborations in the development of educational materials
  8. coordinating activities of subject and course panels;
  9. Development and review of documents for evaluation and vetting of curriculum support materials

Requirement for Appointment

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education (German) or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  2. Relevant working experience of at least Five (5) years;
  3. Demonstrated professional competence in curriculum development in (German) or related areas;
  4. Proficient in computer use and application;

20. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER HAIRDRESSING AND BEAUTY (CTS) KICD GRADE 6, ONE (1) POST

The Curriculum Development officer, Hairdressing and Beauty will report to the Senior Deputy Director Curriculum Development:

a)    Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail the following:

  1. Development of instruments for data collection and mapping out research areas;
