The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) earlier today opened the portal for 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to attain a mean grade of C+ (Plus) and above to apply to enrol at their universities of choice.
Qualified students are allowed to submit their applications for degree courses to both private and public universities all over the country.
Students who attained a KCSE mean grade of C- and above are eligible to apply for diploma courses while their counterparts who scored a grade of D+ are eligible to apply for enrolment in Artisan Courses.
While submitting their applications, all applicants are required to pay Kes. 1,500 before submitting applications through the link: https://students.kuccps.net/login.
In the applications, candidates will qualify for the courses they wish to pursue if they meet the minimum entry requirements and cluster points of their desired course(s).

How to Check Course and University Admitted To On KUCCPS 2021/22 Using Student Portal
If you are a 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate here is how you can check your placement results.
- Visit the KUCCPS student portal via the link: https://students.kuccps.net/
- Log by entering your details as follows.
- Use your full Index Number as your Username.
- Enter Year as 2020
- For the password, use your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE index number.
After logging in, you will see a text box that reads: “Congratulations, followed by the university you have been placed then finally the course you will pursue.”
KUCCPS SMS notifications
KUCCPS does send an SMS to the registered number having your placement details. You will get the SMS after the placement results have been announced.
When applying for courses of your choice, KUCCPS provides three period as details below.
1. School Application Window
This window or period lasts between October/November in a normal year and this is when candidates choose their courses before they sit for their examinations. In this application, a candidate pays a fee of Sh. 500. It is the cheapest and the best chance for a candidate to choose their preferred courses.
2. KUCCPS First Revision
For this application window, it is the placement body that announces the dates for application. For this year, the application portal for first revision was open as from Monday the 24th of May 2021 and closed on the 11th of June 2021.
3. KUCCPS Second Revision
In case you have not qualified for selection for any of your preferred choices during the first round of selection, you will be given a chance to do another revision by choosing courses that have unfilled capacities.
4. Placement to any program
Any applicant who does not qualify for their choices but met the cut-off points for placement may be offered any course with unfilled capacities as long as the candidate meets the admission requirements for the course(s).
