KNEC Pays the 2019 KCSE Contracted Examiners

The Kenya National Examinations Council KNEC has started paying the 2019 KCSE National examinations contracted examiners.

The 2019 KNEC contracted examiners who marked the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education KCSE last year have started recieving their pay.

2019 English 101 Knec Examiners Paid Yesterday

First batch to receive their pay were the English national examiners (English 101/1, 101/2, and 101/3) who received their money via Mpesa starting yesterday night (20th January 2020).

Examiners of the other subjects are expected to receive their hard earned part-time hustle in this week via the same KNEC’s payment platform.

The 2019 national examinations marking exercise was faced by numerous challenges including examiners strikes and loss of lives.

The striking  examiners undertook strikes demanding better remuneration per paper and improvement of working conditions.

Cabinet Secretary of Education Prof George Magoha released the 2019 KCSE examinations results on the 18th of December 2019 at the KNEC Headquarters in Nairobi.

Following the numerous strikes by the national examiners, KNEC gave in and released new pay rates per script marked.

A total of 667,222 candidates sat for the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations KCSE.
