Kenya Commercial Bank Set to Sponsor a Thousand Secondary School Students

This year the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Group is set to sponsor around one thousand students across the country.

Students are required to have passed well in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and should be coming from humble backgrounds.

Out of the 1,000 beneficiaries, 10% of the sponsorships will go to Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).

This was revealed in a meeting held at the Jogoo House office where the group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Paul Russo was with the Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu on the 11th of January 2023.

The KCB Group has been supporting more than 3,500 beneficiaries since 2007 through the KCB Foundation through the provision of scholarships for secondary education to bright but needy students.

At the moment, KCB supports more than 40,000 learning institutions through developing products and services that allow for a seamless experience in the financing of education.

The Ministry of Education recognized KCB Group’s efforts by leveraging opportunities in clean energy and digitization to improve learning spaces according to education reforms.
