Governor Ann Waiguru disburses Sh. 3 Million to needy learners in universities, colleges, and secondary schools

Governor to the County Government of Kirinyaga, Dr. Ann Waiguru, on Wednesday, May 31st released Sh. 3 Million in bursaries to needy students.

A total amount of Ksh. 1.6 Million has been disbursed to Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students and Ksh. 1.3 Million to learners who are in tertiary institutions.

At the beginning of the year, the County Government of Kirinyaga County disbursed Sh. 110 million in bursaries that helped 40,000 students.

“My government remains committed to supporting the improvement of the academic performance of our county and ultimately the lives of our youths,” said Governor Ann Waiguru.

Governor Ann Waiguru summed up her speech by wishing success to all KCSE candidates and implored all schools to follow the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 protocols.
