Breaking News: A dormitory at Moi Girls Secondary School in Mandera County is currently on fire as of writing this post.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
However, unconfirmed sources claim the fire was caused by electric fault.
The Mandera County Fire Fighting department quickly responded and tried to put off the fire.
A resident of the area says he heard gunshots and thought it was an ongoing Alshabaab attack.
The military officers camping nearby, responded quickly and helped putting of the fire and calming down the fears.

This is a girls only public national boarding secondary school located in Barwaqo sub location, Bulla Mapya location, Central Mandera division, Mandera East Sub County.
Effort to put out the fire is underway.
The Mandera County Governor H.E Ali Roba visited the school in the middle of the night to see and help calm the situation.
The Governor said that he proved that all girls in the school are safe.
He called on the parents to de-stress and go back home and will be authorized to see their children in the morning.
No injuries or casualties have been reported.
