Ten Students from Anester Bahati Boys High School in Nakuru have been arrested after they sneaked into the neighboring Anestar Precious Girls secondary school on Thursday night.
The 10 students are part of the class undertaking the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations, KCSE.
DCI Response On the Anester Bahati Boys School Night Incident
According to communication from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ Official Twitter Account made on Friday the 9th April 2021, the Anester Boys had sneaked out of their school and managed to gain access to the Girls Dormitory.
The investigators (DCI) wrote, “The boys whose mission still remains unclear, had sneaked out of their school in their numbers and gained access to the girls’ dormitory under the cover of darkness.”
It is reported that the girls raised the alarm before Police officers from the Githioro Police Station rushed to their rescue.
Defiant Boys Were Reluctant to Leave the Girls’ Dormitory
The DCI reported that the Anester Boys were defiant to move away from the scene. They kept hovering around the girls dorm.
This forced the police to fire a round in the air to scare the boys away.
“Officers managed to arrest 10 of them, as others escaped in the dead of the night,” read the official DCI twitter page.
The 10 boys arrested were taken into custody at the Dundori Police Patrol Base, awaiting further action.
