A deputy principal at Baragoi Boys Secondary School has been arrested for allegedly assisting his students in cheating in the currently continuing 2019 KCSE Examinations.
The deputy in the company of two other teachers of biology was arrested after their unlawful act was exposed.
According to Tom Mokori, who is the Samburu North Sub-County Police commander, 4 teachers have been arrested and are being held at Baragoi Police Station, waiting to be arraigned in court.
The four teachers detained are; the KCSE invigilator to the school, the Deputy Principal, and two teachers of biology.

The Police Commander reported that suspicion rose after police officers securing the exams detected abnormal frequenting to the toilets by the invigilator and the Deputy Principal.
It is reported that the Security Officers at first saw the invigilator enter the Staff Toilet. Got out, and after a while, the Deputy Principal also got in and left with suspicion spread throughout his face.
The movements repeated before one of the security officers decided to pay the same washroom a visit.
Mr. Mokoti said that the Police officer found a paper with some of the questions and answers to Biology Paper 2, which was ongoing.
The Security officers then headed to the Deputy Principal’s house, where they found the school’s two biology teachers.
The incident follows Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha’s stern warning against anyone found interfering with the ongoing KCSE Examinations.
