The TVET Authority Kenya Page has posted an announcement on their page warning trainees recruited by the Public Service Commission without pedagogy training to TVET institutions across the country to get trained within two years at the Kenya Trainers College (KTTC) as from February (next month).
The post is as follows:
“Over 3000 trainers recruited by the Public Service Commission without pedagogy training and deployed to various TVET institutions around the country have been given a grace period of two years to acquire the skills at the Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC) starting next month. This requirement is in line with section 23 of the TVET Act and the Trainers Qualification Framework Standard for a trainer to be registered by the TVET Authority.
The trainers are requested to visit the KTTC website (www.kttc.ac.ke), download the admission form, and apply. Admission will be on the basis of first come first served.”
