Gideon Moi Pledges to Pay School Fees and Shopping for Orphaned Baringo Boy with 391 Marks in KCPE
Recently, a Baringo boy called Eugene Zachary, revealed that he had not been able to join form one but was yet to do so due to a lack of fees.
Eugene attended Lelgut Primary school where he scored 391 marks in his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) despite all the difficulties he had to go through.
The boy revealed that he used to miss morning lessons and had to skip the evening classes in order to reach home in time. This used to happen mostly on days when it used to rain.
The clever boy was then placed at St Joseph’s High School but was not able to join because he came from a humble background.
Eugene’s uncle had also spent all the money he had to take his children to school.
This led to the boy urging members of the public to come to his aid.
‘ I would like anyone who can come to my aid and help me get school fees so that I can pursue further education. Right now there is no other avenue for me to find school fees,” pleaded Eugene.
Fortunately for Eugene, his pleas reached Gideon Moi, a politician who offered to sponsor the young boy’s education for this year.
As revealed by the politician’s press officer, the guardian was asked to prepare the boy to go to school, thanks to Gideon Moi, who will cover all the expenses and this year’s school fees.
Moi’s press officer called on the guardian to contact the politician’s office so that arrangements for the scholarship can be made in time.
