The Ministry of Education has conducted a reshuffling in technical colleges across the country with key Principals moved to new stations.
A Handing over schedule reveals that the changes mostly affected the heads of national polytechnics and a bunch of Technical Training Institutes (TTIs).
Among the heads moved is Kisii National Polytechnic Principal David Mwangi who has been transferred to Nyeri National Polytechnic in the same position.
Mwangi reported to Kisii National Polytechnic back in September 2020 having served at Mukiria TTI in Meru County. This was done as a promotion to him.
Mwangi is set to be replaced at Kisii National Polytechnic by Daniel Nyariki who was Mwangi’s predecessor. Nyariki had been transferred from Kisii National Polytechnic to Ziwa Technical Institute in Uasin Gishu County.
Mwangi will be taking over the reins from Ann Mwangi who retired.
According to the changes indicated in the Internal Memo dated the 18th of January 2023 titled Handing/Taking Over Exercise for Principals and signed by the Acting Director Vocational and Technical Education, Tom Mulati, Coast National Polytechnic Principal, Ann Mbogo has been transferred to Michuki TTI located in Murang’a County.
Ann Mbogo will replace John Ndirangu who had served his institution for a long time.
Mary Muthoka is set to replace Ann Mbogo who was the one Mbogo replaced back in 2020. Muthoka has been working at the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education headquarters in Nairobi.
Kipsinende TVC Principal Joseph Mibey was also not left out of the reshuffling as he is set to report to Gilgil TVC in the same position. His replacement at his former station has not been revealed yet.
His predecessor at Gilgil TVC has been transferred to Heroes TVC to replace Francis Mbugua who retired recently.
