TSC Clarifies On FAKE NEWS Concerning Cancelling of Mass Recruitment of Teachers

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has quickly moved to stop panic among teachers applying for teaching jobs after a fake circular indicated that the ongoing 2020 mass recruitment of teachers has been canceled.

“Beware of fake news to the effect that the recruitment of teachers has been stopped. The exercise is on; successful applicants will be notified about interviews. Be vigilant of fraudsters and fake news peddlers,” read a statement on twitter from TSC.

The fake circular claims that around 10,000 teachers who are currently working as interns will be automatically be employed on permanent and pensionable terms.

It also goes ahead to claim that the Commission will set up a new schedule to be posted for the remaining vacancies.

TSC had earlier awarded a 10 marks advantage for interns who had sacrificed to work for a fraction of what the normal TSC teachers employed on permanent and pensionable terms earns. They will now reap the fruits of their sacrifice in the ongoing mass recruitment exercise.
