Sossion Gives Different Reasons for sacked TSC CEO Deputy

Wilson Sossion, the former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary-General (SG) has given a different version regarding the reasons for the sacking of the Teacher Service Commission (TSC)  Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to Wilson Sossion, the decision to sack Dr Kennedy Juma Mulunda, the TSC Deputy CEO is a witch hunt and he threatened to file a lawsuit.

Sossion condemned the decision to sack Mulunda saying that the decision was part of a scheme to ensure that Dr Mulunda does not take over from the current TSC CEO Dr Nancy Macharia once her term comes to an end.

Dr Mulunda was dismissed following allegations of abuse of office and gross misconduct with the TSC CEO signing his letter of termination.

Following investigations and testifying by more than 10 principals from Western and Nyanza regions the TSC disciplinary committee of commissioners found Dr Mulunda guilty of the stated offences.

However, according to Wilson Sossion, it is not Dr Mulunda who is engaged in corruption. Instead, Sossion claimed that it is the TSC CEO herself who is corrupt.

“Between Nancy and his deputy Mulunda, who is engaged in big-time corruption in TSC tenders,” wondered Sossion.

Wilson Sossion is a member of the National Assembly’s Education Committee. He threatened to expose the Commission’s dark side and ensure that action is taken if his favoured Kenya Kwanza coalition wins the upcoming august elections.

Sossion accused Dr Macharia and TSC Chairperson Jamleck Kamau of conspiring with other commissioners to prevent Dr Mulunda from taking over from Dr Macharia once her term comes to an end.

Sossion recognized Dr Mulunda as a highly educated expert in human resources who should be allowed to lead TSC without fearing any consequences for doing his job.
