A secondary school teacher who teaches at Got Kanacha Secondary School located in Suna West, Migori County was found dead in a latrine.
According to students in the school. The 32-year-old male teacher had been seen going to the latrine on Tuesday morning but he was not seen again afterwards.
“We saw him go to the lavatory but from that moment, we did not see him again,” said one of the students.
Suna East sub-county police commander Essau Ochorokodi confirmed the teacher’s passing.
“The body of the 32-year-old teacher was discovered by students leaning against the walls of the latrine on Tuesday when they went to clean them,” said Ochorokodi.
Mr Ochorokodi said that his officers had started probing the issue and are looking into the matter.
He revealed that the cause of the teacher’s death had not yet been established but promised to reveal it once investigations are completed.
The body of the deceased was taken to Migori Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting for conducting of a postmortem.
