The Nairobi County has re-advertised a total 498 job vacancies for Early Childhood Development and Education ECDE Care givers for job group G.

Remuneration / Salary for 2021 Nairobi County ECDE Teachers and Care Givers

Nairobi County government has stipulated the following remuneration for the ECDE teachers and care givers who will successfully be employed under job group G:

  • Salary Scale: Kshs. 22,770 to Kshs. 30,020.
  • Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 4,000.
  • House Allowance: Kshs. 6,750.

Applicants are required to submit their applications online on or before Thursday the 30th of April 2021.

Job Description for the Nairobi County ECDE 2021 Job Vacancies 

  1. Class teaching;
  2. Organizing and facilitating play/learning activities for the learners;
  3. Managing ECDE classes and keeping professional and administrative records (schemes of work, lesson plans, daily programme of activities, attendance register etc.) and ensuring learners’ safety and security;
  4. Caring and nurturing spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic and emotional growth of the learners (holistic development); and
  5. Preparing and developing play/learning materials.

Required Qualifications for the Nairobi County ECDE 2020 Job Vacancies 

    1. Certificate in Early Childhood development Education offered by KNEC/Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent;
    2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+(plus) or KCE Division IV at ‘O’ level;
    3. A Certificate in Computer Proficiency; and
    4. Registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC Number).
