Learners of Dagoretti High School have walked out of the upmarket Dagoretti High School in Nairobi citing bad management of their school.
Mr. Peter Orero, an ODM operative managed the school until he resigned in 2019 to vie for the ODM ticket nomination for Kibra only to end up losing.
This is the fifth instance of students walking away from school since the government reopened schools in October for learners in form four, those in class eight, and those in Grade 4.
We can attribute the incident to students fearing the fast-coming mocks in their schools, or just feeling homesick. However, students in more than one institution have cited bad leadership, and it is important that relevant stakeholders look into the issue.
