TSC Advised Teachers to File KRA Returns Early
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has encouraged teachers to file their Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) returns early to avoid the last-minute rush.
Many government systems or websites usually experience a huge demand for access especially when deadlines of various government services are around the corner. This leads to many Kenyans missing out as systems often cannot perform as efficiently as when people file their returns early when the demand for access to the systems is not huge.
It has been a similar story among teachers when filing their KRA returns and even when filling the Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD).
As such the Commission has taken the initiative to urge teachers to file their KRA returns early in the Circular shown below.

FILING OF INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX RETURNS FOR THE YEAR 2021
All TSC employees are required to file their individual income tax returns for the year 2021 through the KRA online iTax platform (https://itax.kra.go.ke), by 30th June 2022as required by Income Tax Act.
The Tax Deduction Cards (P9 Forms) have been uploaded on the TSC T-Pay portal for all employees to download. This will facilitate the filing of the returns.
In the event of any challenges in filing returns, assistance may be sought from TSC Accounts Division (PAYE-Section) or call (020) 289-2000 Ext: 2401/2382 or 0722 208 552/ 077 208552, or Email: inform@tsc.go.ke.
