Pupils Accuse Teacher of Sexual Misconduct As They Protest At Police Station
Pupils of Kagio Primary School went to a police station in Kirinyaga County and staged a protest, demanding the arrest of their teacher whom they accused of sexual misconduct.
The Class Eight pupils entered the police station forcefully while shouting on Friday evening.
Some of the pupils claimed that the teacher touched their private parts in an indecent manner. Besides, they demanded the removal of the teacher from the school.
“We were warned against reporting this matter… even our deputy headteacher threatened not to give us our certificates if we report this matter,” one of the pupils said.
Efforts to get the headteacher to say something over the issue did not bear any fruits as the school headteacher was not within the school premises.
