KCSE Day 2: Student Gives Birth to Twins

One of the students undertaking 2019 KCSE examinations gave birth to twins in the wake of day 2 of the Kenya national exams.

The girl was admitted to Kapsowar mission hospital in Marakwet, and without any complications, successfully delivered the twins.

The student who hails from one of the secondary schools in Elgeyo Marakwet County will now continue writing her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations KCSE in the hospital.

Evans Onyancha, the area director of education, paid a visit to the student to ensure she continued with her exams.

“We sent the examinations papers, a supervisor, and female security personnel to the hospital to enable her to continue his examination,” said Onyancha.

The director, however, raised the alarm on the increased number of pupils getting pregnant while still in school.

He said that serious action will be taken on those involved.
