Examiner Dies at the KCPE Marking Centre
The country has yet again lost examiner, Mr. Robert Kiua Muindi of Tusunini Primary School.
The sad, shocking news was released by KNEC in a communication sent to the newsrooms by Dr. John O. Onsati.
Mr. Kiua was a KCPE Examiner and a teacher at Tusunini Primary School, Kilungu Sub County, Makueni County.
The communiqué reported that Mr. Kiua fell ill on Tuesday while marking the KCPE examinations.
He was then rushed to the PCEA Kikuyu mission hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
It is with profound shock and regret that the KNEC announces the death of Robert Kiua Muindi, who passed on Tuesday night. He was an examiner with KNEC and a teacher at Tusunini Primary school, Kilungu Sub County, Makueni County.
Kenya National Examinations council KNEC has informed the next of kin of the deceased and subsequently notified the Teachers Service Commission.
‘The council wishes to send our heartfelt condolence to the family, friends, relatives, and entire teaching fraternity for the loss of a dedicated professional in the education sector,’ said Dr. Onsati.
The KNEC chairman added that the council will offer the necessary support to the family during the burial arrangements.
