The Teachers Service Commission TSC has issued a public notice to charge teachers for applying for review of a Disciplinary Case.
TSC, in the notice uploaded on 6th December 2019, said, “the Commission charges two thousand shillings (Ksh 2000) for application for Review of a discipline case.”

The Commission is acting in regards to the Fifth Schedule of the Code of Regulations for Teachers
2015.
How to Pay the TSC Discipline Case Review Fee
The Commission outlined that for review of a disciplinary case, you will deposit
Ksh 2000 in your name to the bank details below: Forward the bank deposit slip to TSC Headquarters (Discipline Division) to enable Processing of your application.

Then you forward the bank deposit slip to TSC Headquarters (Discipline Division) to enable Processing of your application.

TSC Deregisters Teachers after Disciplinary Case
A few months ago, the Teachers Service Commission, TSC posted a list of teachers who were officially removed from its teachers register.
The commission clarified that those teachers were not allowed to engage in teaching in the country.
The teachers Commission is rushing against time to clear a backlog of disciplinary cases just before the end of the year.

1,000 Pending Disciplinary Cases
As of September 2019, TSC had over 1,000 pending cases to solve.
The move of charging a Ksh.2000 fee to review a teacher’s disciplinary case, is aimed at reducing the number of cases. This will see the Commission handle only serious cases.
