The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the good news to all teachers currently serving under the Commission on Permanent and Pensionable terms.
The Kenyan Constitution mandates the Commission among other things to appoint and deploy school administrators.
Promotion slots are now available but with the huge number of teachers across the country working under the Commission, the Commission has invited applications for promotions. However, not every position is available for everybody.
It is important to note that applications should only be made online. Physical applications will not be allowed.
The adverts contained posts as provided in the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers.
Qualified teachers have been invited for the posts of Chief Principal (53 posts), Senior Principal (51 posts), Principal (49 posts), Deputy Principal I (33 posts)), Deputy Principal II (15 posts), Senior Lecturer I (16 posts), Curriculum Support Officer I (37 posts), Senior Lecturer II (18 posts), Senior Headteacher (63 posts), Curriculum Support Officer II (9 posts), Deputy Headteacher II (233 posts), Senior Teacher I (233 posts) and Senior Teacher II (233 posts).
The advert also contained vacancies for secondary teachers in the positions of Senior Masters, Headteachers, Deputy Principals, primary teachers, senior teachers, deputy headteachers and headteachers. These provisions were advertised in accordance with the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers in ASAL and Hard to staff areas.

Just like in the previous promotions, applicants in the current promotions will be required to upload the following valid documents.
- Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.
- Clearance certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau
- Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.
- Clearance certificate from the High Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
- Letter of appointment to the current responsibility.
- Letter of appointment to the current grade.
