The Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu has revealed when the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results will be released.
While addressing teachers from Kisii and Nyamira counties on the 2nd of January, CS Machogu lauded them and all those who oversaw the examinations and expressed hope that the results will be released without any hiccups.
“The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education was conducted well and came out successfully and my hope is that the KCSE results will follow suit,” said CS Machogu.
The CS told teachers to provide high quality education because it is most suitable way of doing away with poverty.
“As you are here you are the pride of your parents who took to school and now they are proud of you. Go and be champions of academic glory to your communities,” said CS Machogu.
Machogu also said that the government allocates a lot of money to educate every child but some parents were hesitant to take their children to school.
He implored chiefs and their assistants to arrest any parent who refuses to take their children to school.
“The 100 per cent transition from primary to secondary schools is one of the government policies to provide equitable education services to its populace,” added CS Machogu.
Besides, the CS praised the church for supporting education development in the country and called on other sectors to emulate it to ensure prosperity of education across the country.
