According to Citizen TV reports the police constable, Mr Daniel Leteipa, assigned to Kamungei Police Station was providing security at Koiban Secondary School but as from noon, he did not attend to his assigned KCSE duties.
It has been reported that the police officer had gone to Emmanuel Kipkeoch’s compound which is near the aforementioned school and caused a disturbance. Because of the chaos he cause, villagers surrounded Kipkoech’s house and even threatened to assault the police officer.
“Police officers rushed to quell the incident and upon interrogation, the police officer failed to give a worthy explanation as to why he had abandoned his duties at the school and who had assigned him the duty of illegal chang’aa operations,” said the area chief.
Leteipa was then arrested and taken to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nandi County for further interrogation.
